New Grad Nurse Part 2| Accepting Job offer, new hire, and orientation

Just incase you missed it. Don’t forget to take a look at my new grad nurse series where I have recorded three videos to help new grad nurses learn what to expect when searching for a job, accepting a job, and preparing for work.

This Part 2 video addresses how to accept a job offer and what you will experience during new hire orientation.

One of the greatest things I could tell you is… Do not accept a job just to have a job. Do your research to learn exactly how the unit functions and what you will be experiencing as a staff nurse. If you are looking for a lot of patient interaction then make sure your unit/specialty will provide that.

Lastly, stay hopeful as you put in all of you resumes and attend interviews. Once you accept a job, get excited that you are moving forward in your nursing journey.

I wish you all the best as you continue your studies and enter your career.
